Independently led a project for WandInspiration Singapore to develop WandCoach, a platform designed to transfer institutional knowledge through targeted mentor-mentee matches and on-demand coaching.
WandInspiration sought an automated system to match mentors and mentees based on unstructured text self-descriptions. They initially envisioned a complex AI-driven platform, assuming high computational requirements to process natural language data effectively.
Through stakeholder workshops and analysis of user profiles, we identified that the core issue was not a lack of advanced AI but the need for a precise, lightweight model to extract relevant expertise and needs from free-text descriptions.
Instead of building a resource-heavy AI platform, we developed a tailored natural language processing (NLP) pipeline using efficient text embeddings to analyze self-descriptions and rank mentor-mentee compatibility.

Led a project to improve operational efficiency for a mid-sized service company based both in Singapore and Canada, independently managing technical strategy and client collaboration.
